Nordic SPARK programs have had years of successful collaboration in boosting the emergence of new value-creating solutions in the health tech and life science fields. It has resulted in multiple new companies and licensing cases. Collaboration in mentoring and education of the projects started a few years ago, and we are building the next level joint efforts in the Nordics but also at the European level.

An example of our joint activities is once again the upcoming Silicon Valley tour of the Nordic SPARK programs. We will be on tour in the San Francisco Bay Area on April 27 – May 3, 2024. We have more than 20 participants from SPARK Finland and SPARK Norway having numerous meetings with academic organizations, programs, and laboratories in the Stanford, UCSF, and Berkeley ecosystems. Furthermore, we also have meetings with business, finance, and tech transfer professionals. One of the key reasons for the tour is that we are jointly attending the Stanford Drug Discovery Symposium 2024 (SDDS), of which we are also supporters for the event. In the future, we are looking forward to having participants from the Danish program.

This is how the Nordic program network wants to improve the impact of SPARK projects and, at the same time, bring our programs, projects and emerging startups to “exist” for wider audiences around the world.
