The application period for the Pre-SPARK Health Concept Discovery Program, Autumn 2025, is now open! Submit your application by May 30 to increase your chance of securing a spot!

Pre-SPARK is a 3-month program aiming at exploring the potential of research findings in Health and Life Sciences, and transforming them into value-creating, fundable concepts. The program is open for Master’s students, PhDs, researchers, PostDocs, scientists and clinicians with affiliation to SPARK Finland’s member institutions, and with interests in health-related concept development. We encourage applying even without having an idea or research findings of your own – as you can find inspirations along the way!

For Autumn 2025, Pre-SPARK will touch upon various key topics, from idea development, product creation, business know-how, market understanding, to regulatory compliance, intellectual property, and funding pathway. The Autumn 2025 program will cover three thematic areas:

• Biotech, Pharma, Cell Therapies, and Vaccines
  
• Medical Devices and Diagnostics
  
• Bioinformatics, AI, and Digital Health

Pre-SPARK gathers a network of lecturers and mentors from Finland and abroad, offering participants both theoretical knowledge and practical insights.Participants will also have the chance to work and collaborate in multidisciplinary teams.

For student participants, it might be possible to earn up to 5 ECTS by completing the program. More details, including schedule and application link, can be found on our webpage.
