SPARK Finland alumni project VIRI – managed by Christopher Jonkergouw – is transforming into Arivin Therapeutics and progressing towards start startup life. Alongside with that one of the most exciting things was that in February 2022 the new European business incubator focused on antimicrobial resistance startups, INCATE, selected VIRI/Arivin as one of the first four startups into the program.

INCATE was founded to help meet the challenge of Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR). It is a unique not-for-profit organization that brings together translational and basic research, industry, experienced entrepreneurs and investors from across Europe. It will, together with extensive portfolio of partners, focus on supporting innovators to take their projects and ideas out of academia and research and develop them into investable ventures.

These achievements are remarkable milestones for VIRI/Arivin team. Those also show once again the unique quality of SPARK Finland projects and teams, and how professionally teams develop new cool solutions towards practical and value creating solutions.

On behalf SPARK Finland we congratulate VIRI/Arivin team for the great progress! And as we know; once a SPARKee, always a SPARKee… Our program will be still supporting the team when ever needed.
